Pro Shop Associate/Team Lead

Guest Services

The successful applicant will have some golf knowledge and experience, be personable, and energetic. Be willing to assist our customers to have the best possible experience at Roundel Glen Golf Course.
Duties:
- Provide excellent customer service to every customer that plays at Roundel Glen.
- Set out member’s golf bags and carts ahead of tee-off times.
- Retrieving & putting away golf bags and carts in storage areas.
- Club cleaning and storage.
- Providing driving range services, such as refilling range ball receptacles and picking range balls.
- Properly monitor driving range usage and inform Team Lead of any issues.
- Providing special attention to any assistance needed by a guest outside the Clubhouse area.
- Performing other related duties and assignments as assigned.
Starter/Marshal
Type: Starter/Marshal
Education: High School
Experience: Entry Level (Less than 2 years of Experience)
Job opportunities: Part Time
- Obtain starter sheets from Golf Shop.
- Check sheets for large groups, heavy periods and tournaments.
- Get radio and check batteries
- Get a staff cart, scorecards, pencils.
- Be at the tee 5 minutes early.
- Get updated starter sheets throughout the day from the Golf Shop.
- Know the food ordering options for the day to relay to the customer.
Starting Groups:
- Give each group course information.
- Give expectations (pace of play, course condition, use of carts etc.)
- Recommend tees, expected time of play.
- Pace of Play – if they fall behind we will notify and ask to pick up pace.
- Expected time of play as they make the turn to back 9.
- Advise tournaments of tees, playing format, drop areas
- Check for clubs, young drivers, coolers. We can/will search coolers and bags for prohibited alcohol.
- Record tee time, number in group, cart numbers, so that it is easy to read and understand
- Check for hard spikes, inappropriate dress wear
- Check the golf cart out so we all can agree on damage if necessary.
During the Day:
- Join up twosomes and singles.
- Allowing players to “cut in on 10” should be checked with the Golf Shop and only if #9 is clear (ish). Make sure the tee sheet is clear when they make the turn back to hole #1.
- Check putting green and cart areas for extra players.
- Switch groups if the next group is more ready.
- Monitor driving range for groups near tee time.
- Maintain regular radio contact with the Golf Shop.
- Record time of groups making turns.
- Assist guest services and golf shops.
Privileges/Compensation:
2-3 shifts per week, you can receive the following:

Cook
Type: Food & Beverage

Looking for a cook to work at two of our locations. Time would be split between Roundel Glen and Trillium Wood. We are looking for applicants with prior experience as a cook and are energetic and enjoy working in a team environment. Apply within if this sounds like the job for you!
Duties:
- Communicate with Chef regularly about daily features, events, theme nights, needed to be prepared.
- Contribute to the generation of new dishes and new ideas.
- Ensure that all meals are prepared and served to the highest standards.
- Inform Chef of items not available or questionable.
- Assist in any other area when called upon.
- Responsible for the cleanliness of stations, fridges and overall cleanliness of entire kitchen.
- Check staff schedule for weekly work and work by schedule.
- Receive orders and store in the proper fridges, freezers and storage rooms.
- When working behind a buffet, food knowledge, ingredient knowledge and food preparation must be known.
- Communicate with other shift members constantly to ensure items needed are prepared.
- Exhibit friendliness and politeness when dealing with members/guests, co-workers, suppliers.
- Ensure all equipment is maintained in good working order, sanitized and cleaned constantly.
- Ensure all equipment is turned off, cleaned, sanitized and locked at the end of each shift.
- Perform other functions as requested by the Chef or Clubhouse Manager.
Beverage Cart/ Server

Trillium Wood is looking for servers who enjoy a fun and friendly crowd. We have a large member base and a top notch restaurant. If you enjoy working with a motivated staff along with an enjoyable customer base, then this may be the place for you. Serving experience is an asset. Must be 18 years old and must be Smart Serve Certified. This position is a seasonal position from April to October (unless returning to post-secondary school, in which it will be May-August).
Duties and Requirements:
- Proactively assist patrons with selections from our menu, knowledge of daily specials
- Work together as a team to execute successful events and sales of food & beverage
- Process payments at the bar and at tables
- Perform basic cleaning tasks as needed or directed by supervisor
- Operate beverage cart on the golf course, come prepared for unexpected weather conditions
- Work and prepare food for customers out of our Halfway Hut
- Adhere to proper sanitation, health & safety and smart serve practices
- Flexibility of work schedule (evenings & weekends)
