Pro Shop Associate/Team Lead

Duties include:
- Ensure the proficient operation of the Golf Shop and properly managing Tee Times.
- Ensure exceptional customer service is provided and that our guests enjoy a great golf experience.
- Guest check in, sales and point of sale operation.
- Golf Shop merchandising, displays and upkeep.
- Actively selling of merchandise – including knowledge of all merchandise in the Golf Shop.
- Working effectively with team members in all departments.

Guest Services
Type: Pro Shop/Guest Services
Education: High School

The successful applicant will have some golf knowledge and experience, be personable, and energetic. Be willing to assist our customers to have the best possible experience at Roundel Glen Golf Course.
Duties:
- Provide excellent customer service to every customer that plays at Roundel Glen.
- Set out member’s golf bags and carts ahead of tee-off times.
- Retrieving & putting away golf bags and carts in storage areas.
- Club cleaning and storage.
- Providing driving range services, such as refilling range ball receptacles and picking range balls.
- Properly monitor driving range usage and inform Team Lead of any issues.
- Providing special attention to any assistance needed by a guest outside the Clubhouse area.
- Performing other related duties and assignments as assigned.
Starter/Marshal
Type: Starter/Marshal
Education: High School
Experience: Entry Level (Less than 2 years of Experience)
Job opportunities: Part Time
- Obtain starter sheets from Golf Shop.
- Check sheets for large groups, heavy periods and tournaments.
- Get radio and check batteries
- Get a staff cart, scorecards, pencils.
- Be at the tee 5 minutes early.
- Get updated starter sheets throughout the day from the Golf Shop.
- Know the food ordering options for the day to relay to the customer.
Starting Groups:
- Give each group course information.
- Give expectations (pace of play, course condition, use of carts etc.)
- Recommend tees, expected time of play.
- Pace of Play – if they fall behind we will notify and ask to pick up pace.
- Expected time of play as they make the turn to back 9.
- Advise tournaments of tees, playing format, drop areas
- Check for clubs, young drivers, coolers. We can/will search coolers and bags for prohibited alcohol.
- Record tee time, number in group, cart numbers, so that it is easy to read and understand
- Check for hard spikes, inappropriate dress wear
- Check the golf cart out so we all can agree on damage if necessary.
During the Day:
- Join up twosomes and singles.
- Allowing players to “cut in on 10” should be checked with the Golf Shop and only if #9 is clear (ish). Make sure the tee sheet is clear when they make the turn back to hole #1.
- Check putting green and cart areas for extra players.
- Switch groups if the next group is more ready.
- Monitor driving range for groups near tee time.
- Maintain regular radio contact with the Golf Shop.
- Record time of groups making turns.
- Assist guest services and golf shops.
